The Chapter Experience

Monthly Member Events: The Austin CSI Chapter schedules one member event per month.  These events following one of the following formats:

Continuing Education (CEU) Presentations:  We typically reserve the second Wednesday of each month, from 12pm-1pm for the CEU format events.  We offer a virtual and in-person option.  The in-person attendee will also benefit from a sponsored lunch. (This is the most common event type during the year)

Tours: We break the “second Wednesday of the month” rule when we have an awesome opportunity to tour a plant, quarry, showroom, completed project.  These types of events will be posted more than a month in advance for proper planning and scheduling.  (our goal is to provide one per year)

Networking/Social Events: as a happy hour, 5pm-7pm roughly.  The intent is to get out and have some fun together.  This past Fall, we hosted an even at TopGolf in North Austin, which was a success.  This type of event may also not fit into the “second Wednesday of the month” rule.

Service Event:
It is our goal to volunteer as a chapter to give back to the community once per year.   When we find the right alignment of volunteers and opportunities to give back, this will be scheduled.

Collaborations with Industry Organizations:

We often benefit from cross-promoting member events, and have been able to offer many interesting opportunities to our members by maintaining relationships with AEC industry and community organizations.

Event planning opportunities:  To help with planning and organizing the event types listed above.

Committee Participation: We have some goals that will require more active member participation to achieve.  If you are interested, we can talk more!

Educating:  Our monthly programs include hybrid CEUs to support our members continuing education. 

Collaboration:  We are looking for synergies with other industry organizations, to cross-promote AEC related events and expand our networks.
